Commemorate Someone Special with the Gift of the Outdoors

We are a non-profit organization driven by passion, yet founded in tragedy. Teens to Trails founder Carol Leone said starting the organization gave her “a reason to get up in the morning” after her family’s terrible loss.

In honor of the memory of her 15-year old daughter, Sara, we put our heart into connecting teenagers to nature. If you want to pay tribute to someone who loved being outdoors, please consider a memorial gift to Teens to Trails. We will use your gift wisely to create life-changing outdoor experiences for teenagers.

Please contact Executive Director, Alicia Heyburn to discuss your wishes or make your donation here.

Sara was just so comfortable in the outdoors, it was such a big part of who she was.

“Rick was always one to get people outdoors, whether paddling, hiking, camping, or ice climbing. We had crossed paths with Teens to Trails groups before, and he was happy to see younger people learning in and appreciating nature.”

Derek’s active outdoor life and his mental health problems are the reasons we chose to donate memorial funds to Teens to Trails. Derek would have wanted other youth in Oxford County to have opportunities to experience the outdoors and find ways to better their mental health.
Our best of luck to Teens to Trails and its mission in working with Maine’s youth.
Take care. Stay safe and well.
