Biennial "Life Happens Outside!" Conference

Our biennial "Life Happens Outside!" Conference brings Maine’s outdoor “experts” together with Maine teens to share their skills and passion for the outdoors. With numerous hands-on workshops & hallways full of exhibits, participants celebrate the coming of spring and a new season of outdoor adventure. Students have been inspired to return to their high schools and start new Outing Clubs!

It's a great chance to try your hand at something new - whether it be fly casting, climbing a rock wall, or sampling some tasty backcountry cooking. Join us to learn about trip planning, orienteering, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, owls & eagles, biathlons, and all kinds of outdoor opportunities for teens. There are special sessions for those wanting to start or strengthen an Outing Club at their own school.

Generous sponsors help keep our registration fee minimal – covering workshops, meals, speakers, raffles, door prizes, plus FREE Conference t-shirts for those who register early.
