Safety & Skills Training for Outing Club Leaders

Teachers often tell us that they have an interest in starting an Outing Club at their high school, but feel lacking in their outdoor skills. Teens To Trails recognizes the importance of providing opportunities for Outing Club leaders to build their safety & outdoor skills and confidence levels while linking them to the many outdoor "experts" in Maine who can provide needed support. We do our best to incorporate safety and skills development in all of our events, but here are some of the highlights of offerings we have had in the past.

The 2013 Spring Thing offered a variety of skills workshops to prepare leaders and their students for their spring adventures.

We held a Wilderness First Aid Certification Course for Outing Club Advisors & Student Leaders in October 2012.  Let us know of your interest in holding another.

Learn more about the Winter Skills Workshop that we co-sponsored with the Maine Wilderness Guides Organization.

Check out free skills workshops offered by various T3 Partners as well as other current training opportunites on our Outdoor Opportunities page.
